Description

As a member of the growth team, the Sales Development Representative plays a pivotal role in ensuring MakeShift meets its growth targets. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Inside Sales Development Representative will be responsible for generating qualified leads and building pipeline through active inbound and outbound prospecting. This position requires at minimum one year of SaaS sales development experience with a clear understanding of using cold calling, email sequences, and social to generate leads.

Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified meetings for the sales team through active outbound prospecting.

  • Articulate MakeShift’s value proposition and be able to respond to objections and competitive questions.

  • Follow up on inbound leads and qualify for handoff to the sales team.

  • Utilize sales development best practices (or find new ways) with email sequences, phone, and social to connect with new prospects.

  • Develop and execute a strong prospecting plan of attack, including email, call, and social selling.

  • Become a subject matter expert on scheduling for our targeted industries.

  • Use ZoomInfo, HubSpot, LinkedIn, and other sources to research accounts, identify key players that match MakeShift's ICP, generate interest and build pipeline.

  • Maintain accurate activity and lead qualification information in HubSpot.

  • Master MakeShift’s current sales tech stack and suggest tools that will make the sales team more effective at their job.

  • Report to the CGO with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.

  • Crush your targets.

Requirements

  • Grit, perseverance, and initiative.

  • Not afraid to make those dials.

  • Previous SaaS ISR or start-up experience with a focus on outbound sales.

  • Proficiency with HubSpot Sales Automation and CRM or similar.

  • Self-starter with a relentless pursuit of what you want.

  • Have a very strong work ethic with the confidence to work autonomously.

  • Conscientious with a strong focus on details.

  • Motivated by crushing goals.

  • Have excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

  • Highly motivated to succeed both individually and with a young and fast-growing company.
